No paste, no gel
The Free-Cap is a new EEG cap that uses saline water as conductive. The electrodes are placed into a holder with a unique sponge material, which slowly releases moisture to the scalp. The electrodes have an optimal fit and can easily be repositioned if needed. A rubber string or electrode holder is broken? No problem: With the Free-Cap, you can quickly replace individual parts.
Compatibility
Most of our clients use the Free-Cap for Neurofeedback and QEEG (Quantitative EEG). The Free-Cap can also be used for the ISF (Mark Smith) and ILF (Othmer, Neuro-Amp) Neurofeedback.
The Free-Cap is a 19 Channel Cap with mastoid electrodes as references, easily placed on the mastoids. By default, the FreeCaps come with mastoid electrodes. The ear clips are not necessary here. However, it is possible to use the electrodes from mastoids for the ear clips. For this purpose, you can order extra ear clips in our store.
When buying this Free-Cap set, you also get 25-pin plugs compatible with Discovery Brainmaster or Q20.
With the appropriate adapters, you can use the Free-Cap together with basically every manufacturer out there.

Advantages of the Free-Cap:
- No sticky paste or gel on the heads of your clients
- Fast, easy, and excellent impedances
- Almost all Free-Cap components can be replaced individually; These components include electrode holders, cords, chinstrap, and sponges.
- 1-19 electrodes montages possible
- Compatible with devices of almost all manufacturers
- Easy cleaning with soap water
- Chinstrap made of soft, elastic material
- Also usable with chest strap
Tips to improve impedances:
- To improve impedance values, it is sufficient to put some saltwater on the sponge using a spray bottle or a pipette.
- We recommend our wooden cotton swabs and 1-Step-Abrasive or Nuprep for greasy skin; A small amount is enough to make the skin more conductive.
